Love the colours and lighting

Man, I love the wipEout games on the original PS. The graphic design work in them is a big inspiration for me. This looks cool!

Amni3D responds:

No kidding! This might be an interesting article for you, btw:

The graphics design they did was something else.

Is this cause of the ant you drowned in peanut butter juice

ChutneyGlaze responds:

everything DX<

Love the style!

ToastieTV responds:

Thanks a bunch!

why

ChutneyGlaze responds:

okay i was peeing outside, suddenly an ant walked in front of me on a branch and my first instinct was to blow on him. I wasnt thinking. he didnt blow off instead he landed on a drop of tree sap and he was stuck. i was like oh no so i went and grabbed some peanut butter (because peanut butter can help unstick things like bublegum in hair) and put a little bit on him with a stick. i t wasnt working and so i put more but then i but to much and he drowned in the wet watery penut butter juice. it sounds like a funny made up tale but its true.

I love seeing art like this that does a lot with a little, especially environment pieces that convey a strong atmosphere

Amni3D responds:

Oh, thanks! I'm thinking on doing yet another take on the idea, actually.

I love your mix of illustration and graphic design. I want to learn to make art in a similar way.

I like it when artists do a lot with a little, using a simple style. I'm trying to figure out how to get a cityscape background style that isn't too difficult for me to make, but still looks good.

Bouru responds:

Thank you very much, feedback is always appreciated 😏 As for finding a style, try looking at how cities are interpreted in real life, comics, manga, or whatever until you find a comparatively interesting aesthetic to work off of. Based off the pieces you've made so far, I'd say that a Blade Runner/Futuristic design would be a good approach for you. However, those decisions will fall to you in the end, so do what you will to get better with each piece. Once again, thanks for the feedback, it
will always be welcome.

I like that style a lot! What's the game idea?

honeyboyy responds:

I have some sort of idea for a simple game as a project for learning how to do game development and sprite art. Something akin to Treasure platformer games for the Sega Genesis

No more bananas. This ape only wants powerade.
