This is a pack of challenging levels designed by the community. We also included some unique unlockable characters and a bunch of new music.
Also, the original game has been updated with some of the quality-of-life features and fixes to match the map pack.
For returning players, it's important to know that on desktop the uppercut action has been changed to a separate button. Check out the control guide menu.
What I'm excited about is that special characters unlocked in the map pack are also playable in the original game. PPP externally accesses the save data of the map pack to see if you've unlocked them. This sorta advanced Newgrounds.io usage has exciting potential I want to keep pushing.
I don't have much to reflect on with this project because I was hands-off with the design and collab organizing. I was busy with implementing content, new features and fixes. I'll say this though: I highly recommend all you programmers do yourselves a favour and learn the basics of software architecture. Messy, poorly thought out code is a nightmare to change later on. This map pack took a surprisingly long time to make, but it could've taken half the time if the original game's code wasn't all hastily put together prototype code. Oh well, just shows how much I've learned since then. Onward and upward!
